Setup & Usage Guide

Install the DISCORDsimple bot once, pick your channels, and let Claude post announcements for you — from Claude Code, Claude Desktop, claude.ai, or CoWork.

What DISCORDsimple is

DISCORDsimple is a connector that lets Claude post to your Discord channels. You install the bot on your server, choose which channels Claude may post to, and add the connector to Claude — then anything you ask Claude to announce lands in the right channel: support-inbox alerts, task and project notifications, scheduled morning briefs, and more.

Getting started

  1. Install the bot. Sign in at discordsimple.ccmshightech.com and click "Add to Discord." Discord's standard authorization screen lets you choose the server to install the DISCORDsimple bot on.
  2. Pick your channels and mint an API key. In your DISCORDsimple dashboard, select the channels Claude may post to, then mint an API key. The bot only sees the channels you grant it.
  3. Add the connector to Claude. Add DISCORDsimple in Claude Code, Claude Desktop, claude.ai connectors, or CoWork using your API key.
  4. Start announcing. Ask things like "post a summary of today's support emails to #support-email" or "every weekday morning, post a brief of my open tasks to #general."

What Claude can do

See & check

  • list_channels — list the channels you've allowed posting to
  • read_messages — read recent messages in allowed channels to de-duplicate announcements

Post

  • post_message — post text messages, plus rich embeds on Pro
  • Mention-safe: posts can never ping @everyone

Reads run smoothly; posting is clearly marked so Claude asks before announcing.

Security & privacy

  • Self-hosted by CCMS on ccmshightech.com infrastructure, with per-tenant isolation.
  • API keys are stored as SHA-256 hashes and requests are rate-limited.
  • The bot only sees the channels you grant it; message reads are flagged untrusted to the AI.
  • Message content is transmitted on your behalf and not stored.

Troubleshooting

"No channels are available." Grant the bot at least one channel in your DISCORDsimple dashboard at discordsimple.ccmshightech.com, then try again in Claude.

Posts stopped going through. You may have hit your monthly post limit — Free includes 200 posts/month, Pro includes 5,000. Check usage in your dashboard or upgrade.

An API key stopped working. Keys can be revoked from the dashboard; mint a new key and update the connector in Claude.
